I honestly have no idea if a "worst station" poll is needed. Or a "worst terminal"?
The idea started out half-jokingly on the Expo Rail board, but it seems to have grown into a real idea.
So, here's a trial balloon.
Feel free to give nominations and suggestions.
The worst station can be the station in most need of repairs, in most need of local retail, in most need of more parking, with the worst canopy, with the worst name, whatever.
I'm not planning to separate out the Red Line, Blue Line, Gold Line, etc. so where this poll would be located might be a problem, but we'll build that grade crossing when we get to it.
I didn't put a lock on the poll, but if it fails to generate attention, I will assume that means "no"
EDIT: I realize that such a topic is potentially flame bait.
All I can say is, the same forum rules apply here as anywhere else, I hope people observe rules of common sense, this isn't meant to be mean-spirited, and I hope that the "winner" gets the fixes it needs.
"Everybody's a winner"

Interesting idea for a poll. Some of us might say the "the worst rail station is better than the best bus stop". There are several Metro Rail stations that get "poor ambience" ratings because they're in the middle of a freeway, but as long as the headways are fairly short, one doesn't have to wait there for very long.

well, I will admit it's an unusual idea.
I'm thinking of adding "all of them" or "none of them", sort of an "all of the above" option if people are convinced that all of the stations are equally good or bad.
Also, I'm hoping that people NOMINATE stations; I have no intention of typing in the names of every single station in the system.
Also if somebody wants "All of the Blue Line stations", I'd be willing to consider that, too.

So you are taking a poll to see if you should take a poll???

Well, I want more than just the poll results... I could create a poll without your permission, after all...
I want to see which stations you think deserve to be in the poll.

Okay, so now we need another poll before the poll... ;-)

well, THIS is the poll before the poll.
and I'm seriously thinking of dropping the whole thing.
Or just building a new poll, one which would list my own personal candidates for worst... since I'm not getting a sense that anybody is interested.
EDIT: I'm going to let this poll run on automatic pilot for a few more days, then I'll throw together whatever suggestions I get into a poll of some kind.

I'm interested. But not all of us are on the internet all weekend checking for new threads. The sun was out yesterday, and for me there was yard work to be done. There are several stations that I personally hate. - Pacific (Blue Line) is bad: it is a one-way station located west of Pine Avenue, hidden from everybody.
- Vernon and San Pedro (Blue Line) are very unpleasant.
- Grand (Blue Line) and Pico (Blue, Expo Lines) need bigger platforms and better access.
- Rosa Parks/Willowbrook (Blue, Green Lines) could be designed better.
I've never spent any time in the Green Line stations, other than Rosa Parks and Aviation, so I don't really have an opinion on them.

Green line has plenty of candidate for "worst station". All the stations on the freeway are terrible. And all the South Bay stations are located in the worst possible places.

Blue: Pacific. The off peak trains sit so long at the transit mall that you are better off walking Wardlow. Where's the parking garage for this station at the intersection of two freeways? I hear many commuters from east long beach and Orange County complain that they take the blue line less often or not at all because there's no parking. Artesia. Talk about hiding a station. People walk the freight tracks because there's no easy way to get there. And open the gate to the hotel parking lot already. Compton. The entrance is on the wrong side. Nearly everyone walks south. San Pedro. Needs a second entrance on the east side.
Green: all the fwy stations
Gold: all of the fwy stations Union Station. One relatively low capacity entrance. No outside connection to Metrolink/Amtrak. No easy connection to red/purple lines when the mezzanine is adjacent.
Red: Vermont. The way out to the street should be signed better from the bottom platform. Not designed well for turnstiles. Large station with what? 6 turnstiles? And they are positioned oddly. Universal. Needs an underground passageway across Lankershim.
