I'm now in a position to be a daily Metro/Culver CityBus rider. So I bought the EZPpass for February and it was loaded on to my Tap card along with the Sticker . Will I need to do anything before I tap it at the validate at the station?

Just tap it as usual and show the card to the driver if there is no tap (such as the Big Blue Bus).

I thought I saw something about if you purchase via Taptogo.net you would need to activate at a TVM. I used my TAP card this morning and after one fail, it did see my pass.

I heard that too and I am not sure when and why activation at a TVM is necessary if at all.

I have the annual TAP with the annual EZpass sticker. Just tap it as usual and show the card to the driver if there is no tap (such as the Big Blue Bus). How/where do you get annual EZ Pass? Is it possible to buy w/ zones? I get mine from USC. It's a TAP card with a photo and the 2013 sticker. It says ATAP (annual tap) when you tap it at the stations. We get a $30 discount from the total cost. In addition, if you put it in your payroll, it's pretax, which gives you another 1/3 discount or so. Therefore, the whole thing with the EZPass comes to about $36 a month instead of the regular $84 a month. If you're a senior, the annual TAP card is free (for USC employees) and the one with the EZPass is $5 a month or effectively about $3 a month if you choose the pretax option. You can get the zone passes, too, at additional cost.
