In all sincerity, I wish that the Lakers and any other teams that use Staples Center would pursue this policy. I'm a Lakers, not a Clippers, fan (no offense intended to anyone on this board), but I give the Clippers ample credit for this policy.

How about anyone who goes to ANY event at staples center gets a discount if they take Metro??? Wouldn't that just make everyone happy?

If you look at the schedule these are the games with the lowest attendance. So, essentially, this is more of a gimmick to sell seats, than it is to ride Metro. Same thing with the musical smash hit Wicked. I do give credit to the LA Kings and CD Chivas for having it all season long. But yes, given that parking spaces will be swallowed up by LA Live, and rail passengers are more inclined to shop around after the game.... All Games / Events should include Metro bargains.

Now THAT's what I'm talking about, and it can be applied to any attraction/venue adjacent to a Metro Station. I know it's a common trick/enticement to associate the discount with sub-par opponents, but what the hey. I hope Staples promotes it as well-- we really need the transit-impaired informed as well as those already using Metro (where they will see the ad).
