This is Just An FYI for any of you living out in the Gateway Cities. The Anti-transit city of Downey decided to Make the streets surrounding the Lakewood Green-line Station 2 hour parking from 7 am to 6pm. I usually drive to the station because frankly Line 266 is run by contractors and after a year of dealing with this line I finally gave up on it, due to poor poor poor Service. But now I cant drive down to the station at my usual time unless i drive down there an hour early, to catch parking. I guess I'll figure it out. But i just wanted to pass the info. Which I find to be a horrible response by city officials. I got a parking ticket because of it.
If residents complained then the city should have re-routed one line on their Downey link to hit the station. Maybe some Measure R money can go to Bus improvements to trains station in our Area?
