I'd like to propose a new bus route that would link Lake Elsinore to San Juan Capistrano, via the Ortega Highway.
According to Yahoo Maps, the distance is 34.13 miles with driving time only 50 minutes.

I'll check OCTA's South OC MIS Report to see if planners have any transit concepts in mind for the Ortega Highway corridor, but chances are we probably will not see new bus routes on the Ortega until the widening/safety project is done.

Thanks Nick. Ideally I'd like to see a Temecula to Irvine route via the Ortega Highway, with stops in Murrieta, Wildomar and Lake Elsinore.
1. Start the route at the Prominade Mall then get on the 15 fwy. 2. Off at Murrieta Hot Springs, pick up passengers at Golden Triangle and back on the 15. 3. Off at Clinton Keith road, pick up passengers then back on the 15 4. Off at Central Ave., pick up passengers and head south on Ortega Highway.
Not sure what stops would be appropriate in Orange County. Maybe San Juan Capistrano, Laguna Hills and finally Irvine?
