Tell me, What do you think of this idea?
Take the top ten most congested intersections in Los Angeles and space permiting grade separate the inner lanes so as to allow through traffic to pass without queing at the light.
An example might be where Glendale meets 2nd/Beverly meets 1st but would likely be narrower.

beijing has some similar setups, as does tokyo. they even go so far as to have pedestrian bridges to go over the whole mess. but according to bluelineshawn we need not look at how other cities function

I never said that we can't look at other cities, I said that just because something makes sense in other cities does not mean that it would work in LA.
