A segment of the Pacific Electric line in San Pedro came back to life in 2003 with service by two replica Red Cars and a genuine relic of the PE. Cars ran Friday through Monday, with the two cars passing near the Maritime Museum. Today I went to San Pedro and found a bulletin at the 22nd St. station advising that there was no more Monday service, and that on the three days with service, only one car will be used. No indication as to whether there would be service on Monday holidays. Also, service used to be 10 am - 6pm; it's now noon - 9pm.

Interesting. When I went to the Harbor Subdivision meeting they mentioned that there was a proposal to extend the San Pedro red car line and that Metro had an option for a shared station.

Here's a lecture from the guy who managed the red car project in San Pedro. Good background, photos, opening videos, etc.
