The L.A. Times front page had an awesome article about the Shibuya scramble, the crowded, busy and yet highly organized traffic intersection and all-directions pedestrian crossing just outside Shibuya station:

Shibuya is on the Yamanote Line, plus the Ginza and Hanzomon subways.. it's crowded at all hours... I know from experience.
