On the Trainorders.com website, one of the members posted a notice about "L. A. Noire", a video game set in Southern California of around 1947 (same time period as "Who Framed Roger Rabbit"). The designers of the game called in a Pacific Electric expert, so many of the railway action scenes are more accurate than one might expect. For example, one of the "publicity stills" (to use a movie term) shows Baldwin VO-1000 diesel switcher 1320 with trolley poles, a correct road number, and the correct number of smokestacks. I don't have a video game setup, so I can't testify as to how it plays, but I'm sure some of the Coalition members can do a report on it.

I have LA Noire (Playstation 3) and apparently they did their homework on Pacific Electric and Los Angeles Railway. It's a very well-regarded game and the attention to detail is amazing for the reconstructed Los Angeles. I can say more when I get further into it.
