Metro posted a link on its ridership statistics page to an interactive chart that documents ridership on any Metro bus line within the past three years.

Neat Stuff

Rail line data is not up yet though.

Inspecting them one at a time makes it difficult to get a good feel for how things vary between lines.

I have a copy from a couple years ago at kegel.com/los-angeles/mta/FY08Q1_Daily_Line_Patronage.xls Then you can sort it however you like.
