Culver CityBus will be offering a presentation on the its connection between itself and Expo at the Westside/Central Service Council meeting this Wednesday at 5 pm. They note in their presentation that ridership is up for all lines. The one oddity in the numbers they present is revenue is down on the Number 4 Expo/Jefferson/WLAC/Fox Hills Mall. They suggest one of the things they might do for the future is extend the Number 4 to Playa Vista. I think a better option might be to run better service to the college. Link to meeting infoLink to presentation[Edit] Links Fixed Revenue didn't go down on Line 4. Passengers per revenue mile went down. Big difference. The reason is because they increase the headway from 40 minutes to (still useless) 30 minutes. The headway improved by 25% and thus miles driven due to additional buses on the road by 25% but passenger count didn't go up as much so passenger per revenue mile took a big hit. Extension to Playa Vista could be a big help because there are a lot of big employers in the area and it currently lacks a single bus ride to Expo line. Right now, you must take Metro 110 to Fox Hills and then transfer to a Culver City Line 4 (or 3-bus transfer: 110 to CC #3 to CC#1) to reach Expo.
