Will our speaker David Yale, Deputy Executive Director of Metro Regional Programming (Countywide Planning) reveals the latest information about the Public Private Partnerships in development at LACMTA and details about some of the Capital Projects. One Multi-Billion Dollar project coming up is the I-405 Rail Tunnel and Vehicle Toll Road proposal. Some are curious about the latest on the I-710 gap closure project and the community implications. Register for this informative meeting, which will be held on Thursday, May 8 at Metro Gateway Headquarters.

If you are in the transit, engineering, architectural or construction industry, this means you NEED to attend to get inside details. If you are a transit advocate, you will get an invaluable primer on the modern-day construction process as it pertains to Southern California.

First, we will have introductions and go over some of the latest transit developments. Afterwards, we will start the program, so make a goal to be there at the start at 6:05 p.m.
David Yale will present and answer questions until at least 7:45 p.m. and then we will cover the business of other transit activities in Southern California, such as Metrolink, OCTA, Amtrak and municipal carriers.

There will be other reports at the meeting such as Measure R and the 30/10 -- America Fast Forward Plan, as well as a review of actions to transit and state and urban rail service. Also, we will talk about other projects such as Expo, the Wilshire Subway Extension, the Downtown Regional Connector, the Wilshire Busway, the Westside / SF Valley Rail Tunnel and the Crenshaw Line.
