The following is a conceptual map of a modified Eastside Gold Line, hooked up with a potential light rail line to Glendale and Burbank via Echo Park, as well as an extension east through Whittier to La Habra. Note how it easily slips through downtown. As part of the Metro Connector, it can hook up with Expo to Santa Monica. (Perhaps in the future, the L.A.-Pasadena-Montclair Gold Line will be renamed the Rose Line, since it will focus more on Pasadena than L.A.) www.geocities.com/bennyp81/GoldLineRedux.GIF

I like the Glendale/Burbank portion of your line, however: 1) I don't think the Glendale College branch will warrant the ridership there. 2) Why stop at Downtown Burbank? How bout the airport? There's also a large shopping complex on the way, not to mention Fry's Electronics 3) Might as well find another color for this line.

I'm sorry to say but I don't thing this is a very good idea. Waiting for a train would take forever. If i was a the Colima station, going to the Burbank media center, i would have to wait a long time. 1 train goes to Union station/Pasadena, one goes to Glendora, and one goes to Burbank. I wonder what the waiting time for this would be.

Old post but here i go: I would love to see the Glendale College spur be part of a Blue Line extension north past music center and then follow SR 2 north to La Canada Flintridge. The Burbank Metrolink spur should be part of a line that goes from downtown through Burbank via Atwater Village and Elysian Valley and the whittier extension should be and expo line extension totally just dismantled this dudes line but...
