Letters to the Editor: Buses run red lights
The other avoidable disaster that has already struck and claimed lives is the Muni culture that allows for blatant running of red traffic lights by the bus drivers.
Even after the recent and unnecessary tragedy that happened on Potrero Avenue, drivers continue to run through red lights as if there were no tomorrow.
The City and County of San Francisco passed out employee suggestion forms along with paychecks this payday, asking for cost-cutting ideas in order to help offset the growing budget crises.
I think that getting the drivers to comply with traffic law would save lives and litigation costs --and implementation would not cost the taxpayers anything. It couldn't be any simpler!
