OCTA recently cut their phone information hours. Instead of closing at 10:00pm, they now close at 8:00pm.
What if you need route information at 9:00pm?
I think I have a solution.
Each bus stop or train station should have a unique ID number. Popular points of interest could have one as well.
An automated phone system could prompt you for your starting and ending ID numbers and use this to plan your route.
A system like this would allow anyone to plan a route 24/7 without human intervention.

The biggest one I know of in the U.S. with this call-a-schedule is Portland, Ore.
