Major League Baseball just took over the Dodgers. I have no idea what this means for future stadium improvement plans, though.
A gondola is one of those interesting ideas that I scoffed at at first, but now I'm wondering if it can be done, how much it would cost, and who would be paying for it.
Getting better shuttle buses to the top would be quicker and cheaper, but I like the "tourist attraction" aspect of it.

It's almost a year later, and the Dodgers have new owners, with Earvin "Magic" Johnson as the "front man". But my comment will not be about the Blue Crew--over in the Expo board there is a link to a Metro "Lines under Construction" map, which includes my pet project, the Foothill Extension, and also shows the South Pasadena station as "South Pasadena" rather than "Mission", a change I have been advocating almost since "day one" of the Gold Line. Now if we can just get "Sierra Madre Villa" changed to "East Pasadena" so people won't think the line goes to the City of Sierra Madre, which hasn't had electric railway service since 1950, logic will have triumphed.

I took the Gold Line into LA today, and, after following the route of the Downtown Connector, rode the Expo to Exposition Park to see the Space Shuttle "Endeavour". Usually I park at the Sierra Madre Villa/East Pasadena station, but today every non-permit spot was full! Plan "B" was the Fillmore parking structure, but it was full too! Plan "C" was parking in South Pasadena outside the 3-hour parking limit area (about two blocks from the station), and that worked. And, even during an off-peak period, the train was quite well patronized. I noticed a goodly number of passengers getting on and off at Highland Park, not so many at the other stations going downtown.
