Fabio Ficano, director of government affairs for AnsaldoBreda, will address the May 2 meeting of Southern California Transit Advocates.
AnsaldoBreda has been the center of controversy in recent months, due to reported deficiencies in their contract with the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) for light rail vehicles to be used on the Metro Gold Line. Reports have also been published alleging difficulties with AnsaldoBreda's contracts in Denmark, Washington DC, and Boston. Mr. Ficano's appearance is to offer the company's response; the Metro Board of Directors has given the company until May 31 to make official replies to their concerns. Interested members of the public are invited to attend and submit questions for Mr. Ficano.
