Just heard via a different site that transportation secretary LaHood was on the Daily Show last night. The full episode or just his 7 minute interview can be seen here:

Of particular note is when Jon asks about new things in the pipeline. Ray gives a good plus to HSR, and specifically singles out 4 corridors, including California. The crowd gives him a very nice cheer when this is mentioned
