So how will the Expo and Crenshaw lines interface at their shared station? This is tricky since the current station is split-platform. Any thoughts?

Crenshaw should be an underground station so that it can continue north towards Hollywood. I guess Metro won't have enough money for two station exits, so for one direction of transfers, you'll have to cross twice. I imagine also that Metro would put the station on the south side of Exposition to save money in the short term. I don't imagine a huge amount of TOD in the near term, so probably nobody will pay for a second exit.

The Final EIR says underground station just south of Expo with 1 exit on the southeast corner of the intersection. See Chapter 2, page 39 of the FEIR: www.metro.net/projects/crenshaw_corridor/crenshaw-feis-feir/I think during the final design phase, they will have to address the transfers. There needs to be direct access from the Expo platform area to the underground station.

As far as I know there will be a single portal southeast of the Crenshaw Expo Line station. Transfers from the Westbound platform require crossing Crenshaw Blvd, Westbound platform is a shorter walk of a few dozen feet.

I would hope they put direct elevator connections from the subway station's mezzanine to the two surface station platforms to make it easier for the elderly/disabled. I would hate to see them them to have to cross the street twice just to catch their train.

If I had to guess, people will have to cross the street (twice) to the one ADA compliant entrance.
