Hey does anyone by chance know where the rails are going to be laid? It is gonna be along the metrolink tracks? on many of the maps, thats what it looks like. if they r planning to grade seperate the tracks, then i guess the metrolink is gonna have to be closed for quite a while

The high speed rail marketing youtube video showed both Metrolink and freight trains running on the same tracks so my guess is that large portions of it will follow the existing Antelope Valley and OC Metrolink ROWs.

High Speed Rail is quiet and electric powered. Once in operation, it will have a positive impact on reducing regional air pollution and will improve overall air quality. The same can't be said about Southern California's Freeway System causing World-Class poor air quality conditions. Here is a current LA Times article identifying some of the regions worst conditions.
