The newest Flyaway Bus is departing nonstop from the Expo La Brea Station. The service started on July 1, 2013. The stop is located at the southeast side of the station. Impressively, Google Maps is already showing it. Here is a photo:

I think it is only once per hour service... kind of useless. Another vanity transit service designed to satisfy a court order, not intended to service actual traveling public.

Every other hour actually. It's good if you can't afford a cab or shuttle or when you are traveling with only a carry-on. Curiously, I often see cabs at the Culver City Station.

It is a good alternative if your flight time works. Hopefully, they can move it up to every hour and then it would be highly useful. It will be much faster to use this than the Crenshaw Line when it is built due to the express service. Crenshaw will have a bunch of stops and then a transfer to a shuttle (eventually an airport people mover).

How many people will wait 90 minutes at LAX for a FlyAway bus to La Brea station? I mean seriously... La Brea is not a destination either. You can probably get to your final destination faster by taking city buses. It's a totally useless service as currently setup.
LAWA should upgrade this to a 30 minute headway and extend the bus to Mid City and Koreatown. From La Brea station, it should continue north to Rimpau Terminal and then Crenshaw to Wilshire/Western. That way, people from Valley/Hollywood can use the subway to connect to FlyAway without having to go Downtown.

That way, people from Valley/Hollywood can use the subway to connect to FlyAway without having to go Downtown. Well, it is an easy fast trip from la Brea or La Cienaga to the airport over Baldwin Hills. Once you talk about going to Koreatown and Hollywood, you are talking about the service getting bogged down in traffic and then not meeting its run times which will cause people to be late and miss their planes. Those areas are already served by the subway and don't have an express route to LAX like Downtown, Van Nuys, or Westwood. Plus it takes forever for people to load their luggage and pay exact change for $6 or $7 on this. Having a bunch of stops would be a mess and take forever, which is why it is not done on these routes. LAWA is not going to provide bus service all over the city with a bunch of stops. Not their job and it simply won't happen no matter how much you think they should. If I am a USC student, I could check the schedule and see if I could simply take expo to La Brea. Might be convenient in some circumstances if the schedule works.

I think I'd rather get off at Western and take to 102 bus to LAX than go to La Brea to get the Flyaway.

I think I'd rather get off at Western and take to 102 bus to LAX than go to La Brea to get the Flyaway. Only problem is that MTA busses are not allowed inside LAX so the 102 only goes to the LAX bus center in Lot C not LAX itself. You'd have to transfer to another bus run by LAX at Lot C to actually make it into the airport complex.
