Anyone here know. If there was ever any plans to have Metrolink Stop in East L A? I would like to see Metrolink stop at the Old East L A Station. Which would give a boost to the Riverside Line

Metrolink stations are generally 6 miles apart. Stations are built by the city, not by Metrolink, so it would depend upon the juristiction where you want the stop located.
It would be nice for those who have no clue about the "East L.A. Station" to put that up here on a map.
Just remember the 6 mile rule. If it fails that, than this idea is really going to be unlikely.

ah yes, the Riverside Line. if I remember correctly, it is one of the more underused lines in the Metrolink system. not many trains on the route, infamously slow and eternally cursed by Union Pacific's pathetic bias against passenger trains....
you could hypothetically have a station in East L.A., but only as an alternative to the Montebello/Commerce station, which is currently the first station beyond Union Station. any train which stopped in East L.A. would almost certainly not stop at Montebello and vice versa.
anyways, a map would be vital. any "East L.A." station would have to be as close to Union Station as the Cal State L.A. station, or possibily closer.

Well. you think its possbile to re use a old Station for a current stop? East L A has a Station. It's at the 6 way Point of Telegraph Rd, Atlantic Blvd, Triggs St, Goodrich Blvd and Ferguson Dr. Just off the I-5. the Station site is still there. I been to the location many times. The old UP City of Los Angeles Passenger Train use to stop here. And there is very many Businesses around the Station. That might benefit from Metrolink Services. You already have about a dozen Bus Lines that would connect at this Station's Location. MTA Lines 62,258, 260, 361 along with East L A Shuttle, Commerce, And even Montebello have buses (i think). passing the Location everyday.
As for the mile differences. I don't think Metrolink has really though about that. There are many Metrolink Stations that are well less then 6 miles apart. Or we couldnt have Pomona, Montclair and Claremont so close.

I find that this might be something to consider in the distant future; hopefully the Riverside Line will be able to keep up with the growth through the distant future. As for now, I think the ridership base is too light to have a station there.
It wouldn't hurt to contact Metro or the City of Montebello and suggest a StationLink-type Shuttle for the Montebello/Commerce & Commerce Stations and have the shuttle connect commuters to the employment centers & the East LA College in that area.

I haven't seen the East LA UP station lately, but last time I went by it appeared to be in sad shape. As I recall, it doesn't have much parking area and as mentioned above, it's not in a heavily populated area. As far as distance between ML stations, they vary widely--between Claremont and Montclair is 1.2 miles--less than the distance between Hollywood & Highland and Universal City on the Red Line.
