What are the top 4 reasons to build 405 Line as a rail tunnel rather than BRT?

Connectivity will be somewhat better than a surface bus rapid transit route, and capacity will be higher, but the time savings are the real key to this project. The time saved by the tunnel under the pass, compared to buses in HOV lanes (or even in exclusive bus lanes) will greatly increase ridership and will get people out of their cars.
I also think the ability to have a station at UCLA , which would be very difficult with a bus route (due to the very slow routing from the 405 thru the UCLA campus), would be very important.

Time saving is obviously the #1 reason why this is a good idea. Everything else is just gravy...
