All, I had to share these with you. I was prompted to do this because of the recent lawsuit filing by the BHUSD and City against Metro because of the subway. I live in Pasadena in Assembly district #41. About the last 2 weeks or so, the political leaflets have been coming in the mail. At first, I was throwing them out like I usually do. Then I started to realize that there was a definite trend in place in the message the candidates were trying to get out to the voters. About 50% of the ads concern education, and the other 50% highlight the candidates level of commitment to, and future intents to vote for, the Gold Line. It has even now gotten to the point where "counter point" ads are showing up, with candidates saying they are even more responsible for the success of the line versus others. And thats from the ex-mayor of South Pasadena, which was the city most opposed to the Gold Line when it was being planned. Anybody live out in Beverly Hills? I'm guessing that the political ads out there have an entirely different take on rail transit. RT For your enjoyment:

This is why I think a recall election in Beverly Hills is the only effective way to fight back. Too bad I don't live in Beverly Hills or I would be at the Country Registrar filling out paperwork for recall.
