Friday, July 26 was the official 10th Anniversary of the opening of the Gold Line. (July 26, 2003 was a Saturday, and rides were free for the weekend). At the Del Mar station, near the Santa Fe depot which is now a group of restaurants, the occasion was marked with speeches and a ceremonial cake. One observation that I shared with some of the assembled GLFE personnel and VIPs, was that the trains that passed the celebration were all well-filled with passengers, even though it was around 10 AM. I will add some photos after they've been reduced to fit the site limits.

Cool, time marches on! Our Metro Rail system is growing out very nicely, isn't it?
