Long story short, having settled on a Palmdale station, and with widespread lack of support in the Santa Clarita Valley, they're now evaluating a shorter Palmdale-Burbank alignment cutting right under the San Gabriels.
Still won't be as short as the proposed Tejon alternative, but provides service to the Antelope Valley. Time will tell if this is a good idea or not.
