A few days ago I was at Culver City station. These were tucked away in a back corner over by the FedEx building. I'll guess they'll be installed someday.

The fences are up and the gates are in place at La Brea Station A few days ago I was at Culver City station. These were tucked away in a back corner over by the FedEx building. I'll guess they'll be installed someday.

Thanks for the update.
The problem with the turnstiles is that they're essentially only effective for honest people. Is way too easy to walk in without tapping. I don't think fare evasion is much lower now than pre-turnstile. At some stations 90-95% seem to tap and at others maybe only 60-70%. Nowhere is 100%.

Still the gates do have some deterrent effect. It is one thing to not tap and a bridge a little farther to squeeze through a gate or open the handicap gate. I know people who wouldn't bother with the paper tickets or the Tap card, but with gates they wouldn't try to slip through.
