I'm guessing this is the place for BRT discussion... Metro is just starting the public outreaching process. The 2025 operation date seems optimistic.

I'm guessing this is the place for BRT discussion... Metro is just starting the public outreaching process. The 2025 operation date seems optimistic. The destinations are better further south but it begs the question if it overlaps too closely with the orange line and more transit coverage would be achieved by staying further north. I like that it connects to the red line giving us both two EW And two NS routes through the valley

I don't have an issue with the line going N-S to connect with Red line. I've read some comments online elsewhere with people having a hard time understanding the need.
Service needs to go to where people want to go... ending this BRT in Sylmar station in a pure E-W line doesn't really make sense when the bulk of the ridership will likely end up somewhere south.

With Sylmar now for-sure getting the Van Nuys LRT, the BRT going north makes zero sense. It really doesn't get that close to the Orange Line, but the Northern sections are within blocks of the future Van Nuys LRT.
Also, Sylmar Metrolink versus North Hollywood Red Line? There's no contest in terms of connectivity and ridership.
I suspect that overall the Orange Line is still going to be the choice for speed to North Hollywood due to it's 100% dedicated busway route.
