The following is a conceptual map of a Metro Dusk Line (or Violet/Plum/Jacaranda Line if you must). It's basically a loop around L.A. that hits most of the dense areas that surround downtown. Starting from LAX, it heads north to Beverly Hills, makes a turn in West Hollywood, either runs north to Burbank or east through Hollywood, cuts through Glendale, reaches Pasadena and the Gold Line, and continues southeast through San Gabriel to El Monte. This line (especially the Burbank jog) would greatly serve the entertainment industry and some of the most dense areas in greater L.A. www.geocities.com/bennyp81/DuskLine.GIF

this line is all over the place. your talking about a 50 mile line that goes all over. construction cost would be high. Try planning lines that are brief, and won't require much waiting.

haha, this line is funny. The neighborhood of Melrose Hill is located over a mile south of Sunset Blvd, which is where that alignment looks like it's going.
