I thought I'd share some of my route ideas for downtown trolleys. 1) South Park-Fashion District: This line would start by LA Live at Olympic & Figueroa and run east until Maple, then turn south to Venice, then east to San Pedro, then south to the Blue Line station. At the west end, it could either connect up to 7th/Metro Center, or continue west on Olympic to Loyola Law School and La Curacao and could turn up Hoover to a terminus at Lafayette Park. 2) Grand Avenue: This would start at the Blue Line Grand Avenue station, running north on Olive and south on Grand. At Grand & Venice, there is a very large parking structure used by the BBB 10 so people can be encouraged to park there and ride the trolley north. North of 5th, where Grand is two-way, both ways would run on Grand. Due to the steepness of the hill, it would probably need to be a San Francisco-style cable car. It could turn east at Cesar Chavez towards a terminus in front of Union Station (it could pass through the plaza of El Pueblo), or it could turn west to Figueroa and then north up the hill to Dodger Stadium.

Sounds good, but I'd like to see better service for the Fashion District. And at least some service for Broadway and the Historic Core.

I didn't mention the Broadway trolley because that's already been proposed by many people.

I'm very curious about these trolley plans I've been hearing for some time. Where can I find the specifics?

I think the best routing is Broadway to the east, 1st street to the north, Olympic to the south, and Figueroa to your west.
