I would like to commend the "munis" for their effort in trying to help out during this MTA bus strike. Montebello us Lines has even added extra buses to and from downtown L.A. and the Santa Monica Bus Lines has also beefed up service. It is possible to get from Montebello and surrounding communities to Santa Monica using these two muni bus companies. Torrance and Gardena also run bus lines to downtown L.A. so it is possible to gain access to those areas of the county as well. Granted the ride may be slower or filled with passengers but get there you will.
