[From councilman Tom LaBonge's newsletter]
Before we get to the news of the week past, we're very excited to announce a new DASH shuttle service starting Saturday, Nov. 24 to the Griffith Observatory. It will directly connect riders from the Metro Red Line station on Sunset Boulevard, then go north on Hillhurst, west on Los Feliz Boulevard and north again on Vermont to the Observatory with a dozen stops in-between including one at the Greek Theatre. The service, instituted at the request of the Council office, is for weekends only and will operate from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. We hope you'll take advantage of this great new public transit service and spread the word!
I just re-read that it's weekends only. Damn. It would be great to use weekdays too, since it serves the Hillhurst corridor.
