Hey everyone! I've been away from the dicussion boards for awhile and some of you might be wondering what's happening in the Inland Empire. A lot of my input over the last several months has gone toward the Transit Coalition Weekly and be sure to check it out! Here are some of the more notable Inland Empire projects that are in the works:Omnitrans sbX Rapid (Downtown San Bernardino and beyond):Much like Orange Line with dedicated lanes through high density areas with portions of the line running through mixed lanes in lower density segments, like Metro Rapid. Western Riverside County Rapid Transit (Corona-Riverside-Perris) Latest Feasibility Study - One questionable recommendation from the study...for those who witness the Harbor Transitway and Green Line... is the concept of transit stations placed along high speed freeways. Hopefully, officials adopt San Diego County's I-15 Express Lane concept of placing the stations a few blocks away from the freeway to streamline pedestrian and local bus connections. Other than that, the feasible transit routes with an expanded regional transit network in the Inland Empire promises to bring a speedy and immediate alternative to slow local bus rides for cross-regional trips for both peak and off-peak trips.

Don't forget the Perris Valley Line, on which construction is supposed to start next year.
