Is a fan trip taking place? tonyw79sfv and I plan to ride phase 2 on the first day. This is in keeping with us riding out on the first Expo train of the day in 2012. The more the merrier Sorry, I meant during pre-revenue service.

I wonder if that hack from the Reason Foundation is going to climb back onto the Expo Line on the first day to proclaim, once again, that ridership is terrible. My prediction is "no".

They can ride it on opening day when there are free rides, and then again the following Sunday and declare a 70% drop in ridership!

I rode from APU/Citrus College all the way in on Monday. The small parking garage had only around 6 open spots around 6:30 AM. Every seat was filled on the train, and by the time we hit Sierra Madre Villa it was standing room only.
This morning I parked at Downtown Azuza (again around 6:30) which barely had enough cars to fill one floor. The train was still very full, with only a handful of seats available - roughly comparable to jumping on the eastbound Expo Line at Jefferson or La Brea.
Interestingly, watching the 210 Freeway the traffic seems lighter. No idea what the parking load at Sierra Madre Villa is, but I suspect the new stations have taken quite a bit of load off it.
